Day 10 - Shanghai

We were joined by 7 ladies from SF and a local guide today. Over dinner, they were all figuring out one vegetable dish when I said it was dou miao. And immediately, they all said “Oh yah!” and then said to each other in Cantonese “ Haiya, how could you lose to a young man!” Lolz. Hilarious. All of them including the tour guide thought that I was Taiwanese. They said my accent was more Taiwanese than Singaporean. Well, I guess I have the boys school to blame or thank rather. Lolz.

My new hotel is at Du Lun and Sze Chuan Road. 四川路 is a really lively street full of street and departmental stores. The clothes are all pretty fashionable and more for the younger crowd as compared to those at Cheng Huang Temple. Good shopping area. But not really that cheap.
