Life

Yesterday, my maternal grand father passed away. Above is a picture of him when he was a baby.

The fastest speed in the world is that which cannot be perceived by the eyes. It is like a baby's teeth growing. It is like green leaves turning yellow. It is like falling in love. It is like growing old and dying...

Such is the way of life. You never know when it ends.
Live life to the fullest. And always treasure those around you....

Rest in Peace Ah Kong...

Valentines Day

Valentines Day have never meant anything to me in the past. I was always the one to stand in for duties or help out as a messenger. But this year I think I had a meaningful valentines day. Nope, I didn't find anyone special. Its just that, I was helping my mom with her flower arrangements and deliveries. Being able to play a part in the game of giving makes me happy! Heez... And I guess alot of good comes out of delivering as well. I got to meet so many old friends on the streets! So thank you to all my friends who ordered from my mom! Thanks so much! And I wish u all a Happy Valentine's Day! =)

My body

Sometimes I really don't understand how my body works... Throughout the entire day, I kept feeling lethargic and kept wanting to fall asleep, but the moment night falls, I'm awake as a rat. Something must be wrong with my pineal glands and melatonin secretion. Its upside down... Or perhaps I'm just born to be nocturnal...

And the aches in my body just got worst today... Guess I'm really out of shape, and I guess I'm really feeling the effects of ageing. Things just aren't the same anymore...

Work out

Was dragged to the gym by Andre this morning. I have been procrastinating for years. Acting as my personal trainer, he led me through all the various weight work outs. He's a really really good guide. Did almost 2 hours of exercise. Can't really feel my arms now. Experiencing a bit of difficulty washing my hair and even pulling my shirt over...

Picked up Yongchao later and we went for lunch and hung out till evening before Andre had to return to camp. It was nice getting to chat about old times again. Only person missing from the clique was Aaron...

At night, I was surfing youtube and found a whole series of Master Hua telling the stories about his life. Wow... you can really find almost anything on youtube. To those interested to watch, here's the link:

Dreams do come true

Here's the update on what's been happening in my life: Food, food and more food...

Thursday night, I was invited to dinner by the group of people that I went to Taiwan with. All the heads of the various Taoist temples in Singapore. I had my personal set of 8 course vegetarian meal. Filling...

Friday, I submitted the application for my Australia school, went money changer hunting for my upcoming Australia trip, checked out tickets for my China trip, collect some package to be delivered to Australia, then met Jaycas and Alan who treated me to a huge vegetarian meal after. 5 big dishes just for the 3 of us.

Saturday, I was treated to lunch at a vegetarian restaurant by Jessie. The very beautiful taiwanese girl whom I acted as a tour guide to her and her mom when they visited the US last year. We had about 5 big dishes as well! I'm sooo bloated. After that, met up with Andre for coffee, his treat as well. Been a month since he entered army and this is the first time meeting him since then. All the stories makes you feel nostalgic. Thanks for all the treats guys...

I also turned down a job offer today. It was great to get a job offer at such economic times. However, it requires me to give up my China trip and that has been something which I have been dreaming of since I was 12. To scale the 4 holy mountains of China, to see the hanging temple... I chose to fulfil my childhood dreams over earning money. Its a sacrifice, but how often do you get such opportunities to travel with monks and see all 4 mountains in 1 trip?...

Dreams do come true... it only depends on whether you are willing to sacrifice and pay the price to have it fulfilled. As far as I can... I shall live my dreams...

Sanctuary

Another day full of travelling. Met Jeffrey at Serangoon, then went to Toa Payoh for lunch and to collect my transcripts, then home to use the internet and rest for a while before heading to Chomp Chomp for dinner and my bro got us both giant grass jelly drinks to drown our sorrows! Since I don't drink alcohol... and oh well, I don't really have sorrow. Lolz... its more of boredom. Lolz.

Then I brought him to a spot near my house that is not known to many people and we just sat there facing the sea, letting the sea breeze blow and watching the sun set. It felt good. It reminds me of my kampung days. This place is like a sanctuary to me. I go there when I'm feeling low usually. Came across it totaly by chance when I got lost one day. Lolz.

Sent him to his mom's after and was told to stay for dinner! Yes, dinner again. So I had round 2 with his mom and sister. Gheez... soooo gonna get fat. Met his aunt later before finally heading home. Dead beat after 2 days of not sleeping properly. I think I'll sleep well tonight. =)

Everywhere, Somewhere, Anywhere... Nowhere...

Today, I went everywhere: Yio chu kang, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, China Town, Tanjong Pagar, Habour front, back to Yio Chu Kang, then Seng Kang and finally home.

I went everywhere alone, felt like I just needed to be somewhere: Had to get out of the house. Personal reason. Did many things. Park my car, took the train, went to the bank, withdraw from school, check out new schools, bought books, sat by the sea and stared into emptiness...

I just wanted to be somewhere... anywhere: Anywhere that could relieve the boredom trapped inside of me. Anywhere that will present me with an opportunity to advance and grow, in my own way, in my own pace, with no outside opinions...

Too bad there was no one free... Now, there is nowhere left to go. I'm now-here... at home. I think i've done enough traveling for the week... I shall enter seclusion for now... I've got parts 2, 3, 4 of 獵命師. That should last me for a while. Thanks Siyuan for accompanying me for dinner thou... 你最好了!Lolz...
